To cultivate and promote the intellectual and scholarly abilities of the Nasserpuria Memon Youth worldwide, the Managing Committee of Nasserpuria Memon Jamat Canada is proud to announce the launch of the first ever Nasserpuria Memons' World Wide Essay Competition for all Nasserpuria Memons between the ages of 13 and 25.

The winners and the runners-up will be awarded lucrative cash prizes totaling $750.00.
All Nasserpuria Memons within the said age categories are encouraged to participate in this educational endeavor and submit their entries by June 01, 2008.

The winner will be announced at the two day summer festival to be held Inshallah on June 28 / 29 2008.

Rules And Regulation

1) The Essay Competition will be known as "NMJ Canada's Nasserpuria Memons' World Wide Essay Competition"

2) The 2008 essay competition is open to only those Nasserpuria Memons between the ages of thirteen and twenty five.

3) The participants group will be divided into two categories:
a) Category I - Nasserpuria Memons' between the age of 13 (thirteen) and 16 (Sixteen)
b) Category II - Nasserpuria Memons' between the age group of 17(seventeen) and 25 (twenty five).

4) The topics for the essays are:
Category I - "What can I do to improve the welfare of the society at large."
Maximum of 1000 (one thousand) words.

Category II - "Is Khilafat possible in this modern day and age."
Maximum of 2000 (two thousand) words

5) All entries must be typed in Word format or be type written.
All Category II essays must be done on the MLA or APA format and must quote the source of information wherever possible.

6) The deadline for submission of all entries is June 01, 2008. by 6.00 p.m. Toronto time submitted as attachment to:

7) Once submitted, all entries will become the property of NMJ Canada and may with the recognition of the writer be used for publishing in electronic or physical format.

8) The results of the winners will be announced insha-Allah on June 28, 2008 during the NMJ Canada's annual two day summer festival. Cash prizes will be awarded as follows:
